To me, a soul is a scientifically demonstrable fact even though many won't admit this for thousands of reasons.
However, on top of this, to me, Religions are entirely optional. Why?
Because
whether you are a Buddhist, a Christian, a Muslim or a Brahman or any
other religion, most religions were created to keep cultures alive. In
other words they all started as a way to keep children and women and men
from killing themselves the first time someone they loved died.
So, immediately this makes all religions suspect on this one level.
So,
though a soul is a scientifically demonstrable fact, all religions
mostly are not scientific but more sort of like "Old Wives tales" told
to keep people from killing themselves or others when loved ones die.
So,
in some ways there is no difference between Disney's fairy tales and
the stories of most religions on some levels so it is easy to see that
all religions are used as "Political instruments" of mind control on
different cultures on earth.
So, this is why I advocate everyone who can to develop their own religions of how they believe things work in the universe.
This
is a much more "HONEST" way to do it than political religious leaders
scaring people into giving them money especially as people get older so
they "Can get buy a good seat in heaven!"
To the best of my ability I write about my experience of the Universe Past, Present and Future
