How to use Hill Descent Control: The Videos are fairly helpful in understanding what they are

I don't completely understand this technology. What I do on my 2011 Tundra 4wd in these kinds of situations is to shift into Low Range 4 wheel drive. In that range I think the top speed is around 20 or 25 miles per hour. Then I shift manually into the lowest gear and then I can go down at around 1 mile per hour. But, if you don't have 4 wheel drive low range I can see how Hill descent control could be helpful in some of the videos here shown to keep you alive and not dead or maimed in these kinds of situations, especially if you don't have a gear box that will take you into low range 4WD for emergencies like this.

If you use your brakes in these kinds of situations it is very likely your whole vehicle will roll down the hill they show in one of these vehicles with you in it. and then God Help You!
