Touring around today

We went to where my wife and I met when she was working in a bookstore in 1994 today with friends. They are up from Santa Barbara visiting where we live for the first time and are impressed at what the beach life is like so far.

Santa Barbara is impressive in it's own way but there are many less people in Northern California than Southern California where there are at least 25 million people between Santa Barbara and San Diego.

as you can see from Google AI we have about 1/2 as many people in northern Calfifornia as in Southern California.

Begin quote from Google AI:

Northern California's population, within the Northern California Megaregion, is estimated to be around 12.7 million people. This includes the greater San Francisco Bay Area, the Monterey Bay area, the Sacramento area, and the Northern San Joaquin Valley. The Northern California Megaregion is the fifth-largest economy in the US.
