Presently 107 in Death Valley and 104 in Palm Springs AND 97 in Las Vegas at 11 am Sunday

and 62 where I live. Since I live on the northern California Coast where it is often cool because of High or low Fog along the coast I was surprised when I saw that it was 103 in King City yesterday because it was only 64 here at 3 pm yesterday.

So, if you have ever lived in 110 to 115 degrees a lot in places like Glendale or Yucca Valley or Yucca Mesa like I have when I was younger you also might appreciate a place where it is seldom over 70 degrees year around and you really usually never need an air conditioner year around.

However, the last 10 years have been difficult for me in summers here because I really need to see the sun also because I was raised mostly in Southern California and seeing the sun usually cheers me up even if it is hot too. So, since I'm mostly retired when I want to see the sun I usually drive to the nearest sun maybe once a week or so to see the sun.

This is one reason why recently during the last week or so that we drove to "San Juan Bautista where there is the historical Catholic Mission that was destroyed in several Earthquakes over the last 200 years or so just to see the sun that day. Also, my wife had never been downtown there before and wanted to see all the antique stores there. Also, there is a nice Ice Cream Shop there where I believe she bought some ice cream too because it was a warm day there.
