The prophesized Rain on the Kalachakra Initiation by the Dalai Lama in Bodhgaya in December of 1995

I sort of arrived there magically more than anything else because I had no idea at the time even what a Kalachakra initiation was with my family there in Bodhgaya, Bihar state, India.

They found our Tibetan Friend, Geshe Lobsang Gyatso who was a Tibetan Lama we had met in Santa Cruz California in 1983.

It was now late December of 1985 and we knew he would be there but didn't know what he would be doing there at all. But, I was guided to be there at the time he said he would be there so we were there magically for a 4 day initiation by the Dalai Lama then  for about 500,000 Tibetan Buddhists from all over the world including about 10,000 Westerners from Europe and the U.S. and Japan and places like this who flew in for this from all over the world then.

So, we flew from Bangkok, Thailand where we were snorkeling as a family at Koi Samed Island to the north of Bangkok then. It was very beautiful like Hawaii but you had to watch out for poisonous green snakes in the ocean and poisonous rock fish and giant clams that could close on hands or feet and drown you there too. So, we had to be very careful snorkeling there for all these reasons and more.

Then we flew to Kathmandu and rented a driver and car and drove to the Indian Border and took buses to Bodhgaya, India where Buddha had achieved enlightenment 2500 years ago.

Then we were told it was supposed to rain at the end of this Kalachakra initiation by the Dalai Lama and as a westerner I couldn't believe this could happen on a dry day with not a cloud in the sky but it did.

Weeks later in Dharamshala, India I was talking to a Tibetan Buddhist monk about the rain falling like that and he pointed to a guy in white robes over there and said this was the guy who made it rain.

So, as you can see things are very different to Tibetan Buddhists in this sense.

What people in the U.S. Believe is impossible is often possible in certain contexts over there in Asia especially to Tibetan Monks and Lamas and other enlightened people there.

By God's Grace
