Children's Rights:1950 to 2011
The above I wrote on Childrens rights. In regard to Men and Women's rights I thought I would combine men and women's rights because it made more sense this way to me. First of all, if you look even further back why men allowed women to vote back on August 26th 1920 granting women the right to vote in all the states at once. However, the first state to grant women the right to vote in state, county or city elections was Wyoming in 1869.
Even when I grew up in the 1950s men had separate conversations from women a lot. Because in those days I was considered to be a man in some ways by the age of 4 or 6 (just the way thing were done then), I heard conversations that went something like this, "Women want all these new rights now and I don't like it, George" "Yeah. Bill. What will they want next our testicles on a string hanging on the wall?" Men would laugh a lot at statements like this because they rang so true for men at the time.
So, the basic idea has always been something like this, men have never wanted to give up their rights so that women could get more rights because men and women were never equal to begin with. Women can do something men aren't built for, they can deny sex in a relationship or marriage and permanently if it suits them. This terrified men even more in the 1950s than it does now. Because most men would prefer even then not to lie to their wives about their sexual lives in regard to other women. But if a woman that a man is married to denies sex for over a month the likelihood that that man will go elsewhere for sexual congress increases by about 25% per month for the average man aged 20 to 45 or 50. And it might be the same percentages for some men up into their 60s and 70s. Men prefer usually to be faithful to their wives but if they are cut off from sex eventually if they are decent looking they will find it elsewhere and likely not tell their spouse about it (if they even stay married).
So, what I'm saying here is that men gave women the rights that they now have for one basic reason. If they didn't their wives and lovers would have cut them off from sex if they didn't. Now this might seem very strange to a girl or woman. However, this is always the way it has always been.
So, men in the other parts of the world laugh at men in Europe and the U.S. that have given so many rights to women. This is just how it actually is.
So, unfortunately de facto men do not now have equal rights to women, they actually now have about 50% less rights than women. So, even though legally men and women are equal, they are not equal because women can cut off sex from their mates. So, because of this in reality men have 50% of the rights they used to and women now have 50% more rights than they used to. Is this good? I don't know what do you think?
Then now let us transfer into reality the actual costs of all this to society. The easiest way to do this is to give you the percentages of jobs of men and women lost in the last 3 to 4 years.
78% of all jobs lost in the U.S. were men's jobs. So, only 12% of the jobs lost were women's jobs.
The consequence of this is the dis-empowerment of a whole nation of men. Since these statistics might hold true in Europe as well or at close to this, it is possible that they too, have been dis-empowered by losing their right to work as well.
So, women have gained rights and men have lost rights. However, men are supposed to be tough so we don't complain about it that much. However, my wife agrees with me about most of what I'm saying here. So, basically I"m speaking the truth about women's and men's rights here in the U.S.
However, I should note some of the good things that came from the Women's Liberation Movement. One of the things is that you don't see women as much lied to while men run off with other women. When I grew up this was very common and when I saw the insanity that it caused in so many women I knew personally. But men being unfaithful and often bragging to other men about this and then lying to their wives often for years and years about this kind of thing. And then 20 or 30 years later women being left for someone younger and often commiting suicide, becoming alcoholic or addicted to Valium and alcohol at the same time. I"m very glad to see that era of men lying to women gone. It isn't completely gone but now there are whole generations of men who have been trained in high school and College in a more ethical form of behavior towards women. Yes. There still are men who are creeps who lie to women but they are a lot smaller in number now than they were in the 1950s and early 1960s when it was an institutionalized form of behavior in regard to how women were supposed to be treated by men. So then often (before the early 1960s) fathers showed their sons how to be unfaithful to protect their wives from the truth so marriages could be preserved for the children that came from the marriage. It was how men stayed married before divorces were as common as now. I would say what we have now is completely transitional. In other words we may be moving towards an Amazon woman era where women kill men or we may move back to the way things were or something completely different might be tried. I tend to believe what is coming is just so different than anything ever seen on earth before that I couldn't begin to even imagine it. That is what I think.
To the best of my ability I write about my experience of the Universe Past, Present and Future
