Because they don't want their governments overthrown internally.
Sunni Governments throughout the middle East and into Afghanistan, Pakistan, Indonesia and Malaysia don't want people within their countries or visiting their countries to overthrow their governments.
Who are the ISIS recruits and soldiers? They are mostly the children of Sunni Muslims from all the above countries and more. So, wherever Sunnis are the majority of people in any country there is a danger that those governments could be overthrown from within sort of like what happened in Egypt and Libya. Sunni Governments know this and must tread carefully so they don't wind up like Libya is now.
And now there are at least 30,000 ISIS fighters from across the 1 billion strong Sunni Muslim world this is something that All Sunni Governments must take seriously if they want to stay in power any more years.
Countries that are Christian countries like Europe and Great Britain and the U.S., Canada, Australia are majority Christian to begin with. In fact, the U.S. has the most Christians of any country on earth at 245 Million Christians. So, Sunnis overthrowing Christian governments is likely less than a 1% chance within the next 5 to 10 years unless someone has nuclear weapons that they actually use.
And even then, nuclear weapons being used would trigger doomsday weapons automatically which is going to end all life on earth within 24 hours.
To the best of my ability I write about my experience of the Universe Past, Present and Future
