You might say being in a safe environment is normal but people living in most of the world might disagree with you. To them, if they live in a 3rd world city for example, safety isn't available for most people. So, you are going to see people doing all sorts of crazy things in order to try to survive their predicaments.
So, living in a truly "Safe" environment is actually a luxury most of the world cannot afford. So, if you are living in a "Safe" environment it might be important to understand this. People voting for Brexit obviously don't feel safe where they live or they wouldn't have voted this outcome. So, having compassion for people who didn't feel safe enough to vote any other outcome might also be important here.
That's not to say the outcome is rational, this is just to realize why they voted this way in the first place.
Obviously, the people voting "Leave" hadn't studied about the actual consequences of their actions in voting "Leave" the European Union in detail enough to have made a different choice.
And many many people are now talking about regreting their votes because NOW they see it was a mistake.
However, that's the thing about voting, you cannot make a different choice after once you have voted. So, everyone is just going to have to live with the outcome now.
