A friend from overseas was traveling on a cruise ship to SF so we went to see her and had lunch yesterday and I had dinner with her because my wife got the chest cold going around then then she got up and had breakfast with her before she had to board her ship going to French Polynesia today.
So, my wife slept most of the ways home in the car and luckily since we left around 9 AM there was little to no traffic heading south on 101. Although if you were northbound it was still a mess even at 9:30 am or 10 am.
My wife has slept most of the day since returning home.
By the way if you get the chest cold going around it is very strange and unusual this year. First, at least for me and my wife it doesn't get into your sinuses until at least a week later which I found very strange.
It starts with a slight sore throat that gets worse by the day until you are so weak you cannot do anything and then you are coughing for days and days.
I use Coricidan Cough and cold which are the little solid red pills about once every six hours. This helps this not get so bad you wind up with Bronchitis or Pneumonia.
So far I have had this thing since I was in Las Vegas. My wife's illness is exactly one week behind me in symptoms. So, this Friday I will be dealing with at least a cough or sore throat for two weeks now.
So, don't mess with this. Take it seriously so you don't wind up in the hospital.
One week ago last Wednesday night I was scared because I wasn't sure I was going to come out of this because I had gotten too weak. So, the older you get when you get this thing really be careful if you like being alive.
