So that it shot you instead of going out the front of the barrel?
I'm thinking at this stage this is what you are doing in buying Partially self driving vehicles.
So, it would be like buying a gun that shot forwards 9 times out of 10 or even 99 times out of 100. But, you only need once where it shoots the shooter to end not only your day but also your life.
However, then there is the Libertarian point of view which is: "Just let people do whatever they want to as long as they aren't harming others."
Basically, this is only "Survival of the fittest" or those smart enough to survive do and the rest don't".
So, this could equally apply to things like Opioids and partially self driving vehicles.
Though this is a very cynical point of view it is also the way the world has always been if you take away all governments both good governments and bad ones.
Ultimately, it has always been this way in reality and anything else in the end is a fairy tale that some believe in and most who survive don't.
To the best of my ability I write about my experience of the Universe Past, Present and Future
