One of the first things (likely the very first thing) I ever published online at geocities.com in 1999

How I learned to program in HTML language: I was running Windows 95 on an IBM Clone in 1995 I think when I first was able to make a copy of a Yahoo.com page. Then the types of things available for use on Windows 95 made it relatively easy to experiment with the HTML programming with a copy of the Yahoo.com basic programming in HTML. By changing variables I began to see how HTML actually worked.

However, you do have to realize that I started in 1966 at Glendale College by taking courses in programming in COBOL and FORTRAN when I was 18 too. I wanted to work for IBM down in the Wilshire District at age 18 UNTIL (I realized you needed a bachelor's degree in Math to do this then).

So, instead I went to Glendale College and learned to program in COBOL and FORTRAN instead and learned the art of Punched Cards (IBM) style and how to key punch (cards) and use sorters and reproducers and Accounting Machines. then I worked part time for the Glendale Board of Education on their IBM 1620 Mainframe and eventually helped set up a whole warehouse in North HOllywood working full time by age 20. Then because I was making a lot of money by then I bought my first new Car a 1968 Camaro. But, I had to live at home for free to be able to afford the payments and the insurance on this amazing new Car which was Metallic Blue then.

Fred's Poetry and Idea page is likely the first thing I ever published online in HTML. I had someone from Canada, a lady who was a better HTML programmer than I was at the time. Since then I have learned a lot more.

When I first started my website someone in Canada helped me design it remotely. This was one of the first pages I created with their help. Over time I realized that sometimes too much color can interfere with reading. So over time I usually chose white background and black printing so it made it easier for people to read. I left this page similar to my original site to remind myself where all this online stuff started for me in 1999.
