When I started teaching myself the HTML Computer language:

It was when Windows 95 was out and it had a feature where I could easily copy a page of code. So, I took a page of Yahoo.com and copied it to my computer. Then I experimented with it to see what would happen when I did different things with it. In this way I could begin to see what different code actually did on a page.

It's easier to learn things like how to Break and how to start a new Paragraph for writing than more advanced things like making Links and stuff like this.

However, it was enough for me to learn how to create my first website and my first page looked in June of 1999 like this and still does. I kept it in it's blue writing boxes just to remind me of how primitive HTML used to be for bloggers like myself.

However, it is also true that in College starting in 1966 when i graduated from high school and went to college I also learned computer operations and programming in COBOL and Fortran too.

So, once you get the sort of Algebraic idea of what Computer languages are and how they work and move down through those languages into machine language (zeros and ones) you begin to understand how all this works better and why people created programming languages in the first place.

They created these languages to make it easier to think about what they were trying to do because humans don't do well just trying to think completely in Zeros and Ones. It just doesn't work very well to try to make people think like that.

So, programming languages were invented so people could use these programming languages to make all sorts of programs that they could then read and get an idea of what they were actually doing conceptually in creating programs for various computers on earth.

And so it all evolved over time from there.

Here's my first page I ever helped program with the help from a lady from Canada who explained how to begin programming something online:
