And without Guns our democracy never would have existed at all.
This is a real paradox that I have come to terms with. People who want to disarm Americans don't seem to understand that Democracy (as it has been here for a couple of hundred years) could not EXIST at all.
If people cannot defend their democracy there democracy will simply go away into the hands of tyrants like Trump, Kim Jong Un, Putin and Xi and be gone possibly forever.
Only because Great Britain was so far away from the U.S. (much like Iran is from the U.S. today too) could the U.S. wear down the British while their soldiers sank in ships to the bottom of the sea and couldn't adapt to American conditions then.
Without Guns there is no Democracy anywhere.
Could you imagine any nation attacking the U.S.?
They would have to be out of their minds as Americans became snipers just like during the Revolutionary war until all the soldiers coming here were shot at a distance one by one.
However, here is the problem I see now.
Because of drones like the Shahed Iranian Drones (now made in many countries including the Lucas drone here in the U.S. battles won't be fought by soldiers at all which makes all countries and populations vulnerable on earth now to more technologically advanced nations like Russia and Ukraine and Iran and the U.S.
Why do you think NATO isn't involved at all in the Iran war?
Because Shahed drones wouldn't just be blowing up Ukraine and Russia and the middle East they would also be blowing up right now Rome and Paris and Spain and Italy and France and Greece instead. These drones have a 1000 mile range that they can fly before they detonate into their targets.
So, imagine European Cities starting to blow up or American Cities starting to blow up from Drones with no armies in those nations attacking at all.
This is the new warfare the whole world faces now every single Day!
