I can remember experiencing this at "The River" in the palm Springs area and going to a movie at this mall and coming out at midnight and it being 100 Degrees Fahrenheit. At that time my son was going to college there getting a Bachelor of Science Degree from a CSU with a campus there in that area.
But, it is definitely a strange feeling going someplace where you come out of the serious air conditioning into 100 degrees where even at midnight you have to open up all the windows on your car first, then start it and turn the air conditioning on for 3 minutes or so before you dare actually getting into your car or truck.
very strange experience at midnight but I've done this more than once in the Palm Springs area in the past.
Check out the humidity there in Death Valley 10%. But then again there is nothing really there alive to burn much either. So, that's interesting too.
