Misting
I looked before we left at my radar map on my Ipad. So, I thought the rain patterns would be few and far between. I soon realized that mist or even heavy mist didn't show up on this mobile animated radar map on my IPad. So, as I drove south I was very surprised to drive through mist for mostly several hundred miles south until we got to Santa Maria and Buellton. From the Bay Area on south it misted almost continually. And if you have ever been in a heavy mist there is't much difference between heavy misting and rain and often you might even see better during full on rain than in a continuous heavy mist. Luckily, two of us were in the car so the stress of driving in low visibility we were able to share by alternating drivers. Life goes on.
