"Where the humahumanukanukaapuaa go swimming by"
This is a really beautiful and special place which has a beach nicknamed (Two STep. Because you enter the beautiful snorkeling paradise from two lava steps while the surf beats up against it usually mildly because it is a fairly protected place from northern and southern storms. Only likely from a Western storm might there be problems. Also, since most storms come in on Hilo side which is the opposite side of the Island it is likely sort of mild here most times of the year except during the summer where it is hot everywhere below about 1000 feet in altitude. However, you have altitudes on this Island up to almost 14,000 feet so there is snow the top two thousand feet of those two mountains right now on Mauna Kea and Mauna Loa and we drove up to 9500 feet on Mauna Kea a few days ago to the tourist center there. this is right next to Puuhonua o Honaunau National Historic Park, Hawaii’s Big Island
By the way here is a humahumanukanukaapuaa fish
