If I am in tune with the universe it is likely I would never need a gun unless there was some sort of war I was in the middle of physically and I couldn't go somewhere else. But that hasn't happened yet and likely won't.
So, if you are in tune with God and the universe it is likely you never are going to need a gun because you will be shown where "Not to be" at that given moment. So, for example, you would know when not to be a specific place where gunfire or other violence was going to occur.
Often it is difficult to be this tuned in but in the end it could save your life and the lives of all your friends and relatives ongoing. So, it is actually worth the effort to be this "Tuned in".

Note: However, often people have jobs or live in areas where they are not safe so even though you know it is not safe to be there often people are there because they feel they have no other choice. So, there is something to be said for having the freedom to be safe worldwide. In this case maybe owning a gun might be useful if it is legal to do so there.
