Trumpism like McCarthyism is a paranoid response to Global Climate changes: McCarthyism was responding to the Hydrogen bomb and Russia

People often live in denial and often people more conservative in their beliefs get into these boxes where they have to live in denial. I observed this growing up a lot in the 1950s. I myself was raised a Libertarian Republican but started to change the way I saw things in college in the late 1960s when I saw the suffering that conservatism often brings to the poorest amongst us.

My point of view became: "If we are treating the poorest among us like this, how can we hold our heads high? Because treating people like this we are in denial of everything we say we believe in. We are all hypocrites."

So, this moved me first to a more liberal view and then over time to a moderate view which saw the self discipline of Conservatism but also the humanitarianism necessary to consider myself and others civilized at all.

"So, Trumpism is a form of paranoia generated by the dysfunctional reaction to Global Climate change that is slowly killing all humans on earth one by one." 

And it can be directly compared to "McCarthyism from 1947 to 1957 here in the U.S."

The Trump response to Global Warming is to pretend it doesn't exist.

How do you do that?

You stop educating people about Global Climate changes.

You eliminate weather services.

You take away social Services.

What happens then?

A lot of people die from ignorance and the rich get richer while the poor worldwide die in droves.

   UNTIL THE POOR GET PISSED ENOUGH TO KILL OFF THOSE HARMING THEM!

This is the factor that Trump doesn't seem to get.

Even Musk is dealing with blow back from the damage he has done to the U.S. government and people throughout the world. I saw him speak recently and he seemed a much chastened man by what he has experienced.

So, though he was "Trump's Hatchet man" I think the blowback on him through Tesla alone has been severe!

He realizes that he was beginning to undo his wealth empire by what he was doing and so he is stopping a lot from that path now out of long term survival of he and his 14 plus kids by multiple women he isn't married to.

However, Trump continues down his path of complete denial (at least publicly) of the harm he brings to most people on earth from what he is presently doing.
