I heard someone on the news was talking about living in the Los Angeles area I believe.
I could identify it because this is what it was like in smog in Glendale in Los Angeles County then that prevented you from breathing right and made eyes water when I was a child it was so bad in the 1950s and 1960s. it wasn't until 1975 when cars were required to have Catalytic converters that all this got better. This and removing lead from Gasoline has saved many many lives now over the years.
