White Tara is one of the 21 Taras who are all represented at once by Green Tara.
However, White Tara has a specific purpose like all the 21 Taras each do. White Tara's purpose is to be "Long Life White Tara" which is used to increase the lifespans of all those who do a lot of good and are helpful not only to Human beings of earth but also to all life in the entire universe including all creatures on earth.
So, the purpose of the White Tara Practice is to increase the lifespans of humans who are doing good for All life everywhere which help ends their suffering and help bring them to a more enlightened state where they are happier more of the time through various kinds of Englightenment.
