Wasn't able to blog much yesterday and today

Dealing with Health issues but better today. However, I'm starting to blog a little now.

The Fusion Breakthrough in China where within 2 to 10 years Fusion reactors will power the data Centers and within 25 years the Grid will likely mostly be powered by Fusion reactors and wind power and solar power I'm thinking at this point too.

This is especially important in the Western U.S. where rainfall has decreased the past few years and hydroelectric power (especially on the Colorado River isn't really happening they way it once did for places like Las Vegas and other localities and water is having to be rationed from the Colorado River for Arizona, Nevada and California.

Also, with Fusion reactors it might be possible to transport ocean water through pumping stations far inland where there is a drought or desert too within the next 25 Years!

Already, California somewhat siphons the American Canal from northern California over the Coastal range by filling the pipes with water before turning on the pumps and this has run pretty much continuously.

I asked: "how long as the American River siphoned over the Coastal range into Los Angeles?

 begin quote from:
AI Overview

The American River itself is not directly siphoned into Los Angeles, but its water does mix into the system that supplies the city. Runoff from the American River flows into the Sacramento River and down into the Sacramento-San Joaquin River Delta. From there, the California Aqueduct (part of the State Water Project) has been pumping this blended Northern California water to Southern California since 1971.
There are a few geographical and historical distinctions to clear up regarding how water gets to Los Angeles:
The Real Paths to Los Angeles
  • The California Aqueduct (Since 1971): This system carries Delta water (which includes American River snowmelt) 444 miles south. To reach Los Angeles, the water isn't pumped over the Coastal Range; instead, the massive Edmonston Pumping Plant lifts it 2,000 feet over the Tehachapi Mountains into the LA basin.
  • The Coastal Branch Exception: The California Aqueduct does have a Coastal Branch, but it splits off to deliver water through the Coastal Range to Santa Barbara and San Luis Obispo counties, not Los Angeles.
  • The Los Angeles Aqueduct (Since 1913): People frequently confuse the American River with the Owens River. Built by William Mulholland and completed in 1913, the Los Angeles Aqueduct siphons water from the Eastern Sierra Nevada, across the Mojave Desert, and into LA entirely using gravity.
  • The All-American Canal (Since 1940): Another famously named system is the All-American Canal. However, it takes water from the Colorado River and delivers it to the Imperial Valley for agriculture rather than supplying the city of Los Angeles.

If you are researching a specific piece of California water history or trying to track down a particular infrastructure project, let me know!
