The End of Oak Street(2026) This movie is pretty scary but also is sort of a family adventure movie: Pretty Good!

The Strangest thing for me is I used to live at the end of Oak Street on one Acre of land with English Walnuts and Huge old Black Cherry trees so tall you had to pick the black cherries while standing on the roof which we did. My Oak Street was in Mt. Shasta from 1990 to 1992. The other side of this acre of Fruit Trees and very old 1925 built House was the railroad tracks going by from Seattle to San Diego and all points in between which often sounded like the Train was running right through our house which was interesting too!

The End of Oak Street is a disappointing sci-fi thriller with tonal inconsistencies, dumb character decisions, and a repetitive plot.

Official Discussion - The End of Oak Street [SPOILERS]

Popular comment · So there were two Jannetes at the end, which confirms that there were alternate versions of the survivors. Which also means that the alternate versions of Denise Platt and her kids got sent back in time without Greg. A bit dark.

Hot take: The End of Oak Street does a lot of cool dinosaur stuff that everyone is ignoring.

Popular comment · The ornithocheirus also wait until the son gets hurt before they try to attack him. The movie does make a pretty significant effort to have the dinosaurs feel like animals.

The End of Oak Street is a 2026 sci-fi survival adventure starring Anne Hathaway and Ewan McGregor as Denise and Greg Platt, parents whose perfectly ordinary suburban life becomes anything but ordinary. After a mysterious cosmic event literally rips Oak Street out of suburbia and transports the entire neighborhood somewhere unknown, the Platt family suddenly finds themselves surrounded by a world where dinosaurs are very much alive. With their familiar street transformed into a deadly landscape, surviving means figuring out where—and possibly when—they’ve ended up while trying to keep their family together. (End of Oak Street) The movie was written and directed by David Robert Mitchell, the filmmaker behind It Follows, with J.J. Abrams among its producers. Maisy Stella and Christian Convery play the Platts’ children, Audrey and Brian, and Michael Giacchino composed the score. Interestingly, the project spent years under the title Flowervale Street before Warner Bros. officially reveal

Just finished watching The End of Oak Street and... wtf was that?! 🤯 That ending is easily one of the most low-key sociopathic "happy endings" in modern sci-fi. ⚠️ SPOILER WARNING ⚠️ (If you haven't seen the film, do not read further!)... The Setup: An entire
