I found an interview with Ron Howard on Colbert and his show from August 2025. I have a TIVO and so I record a lot of stuff to watch later potentially. Since I have followed Ron Howard's career since he was Oppie on The Andy Grifffith show when I was a boy I found it interesting. He was re-releasing Apollo 13 on IMAX at the 30 year mark in August 2025 also.
There is another movie with Harrison Ford which shows this type of story where people often don't survive without governments or social services like in this movie. Though Governments can be difficult like now in the U.S. sometimes the alternative is worse.
For example, my wife knows people from when she was young who didn't like Nixon and moved to Mexico and then the peso devalued to almost nothing and they were financially ruined by this even though they were wealthy before this. So, moving to another country or off onto an island somewhere is often fatal or close to it.
