I heard the conversation that my wife had with the Customer Service AI in trying to rent a hotel room. I heard the AI keep making the same mistakes on information again again and again. Finally in frustration my wife asked if she was talking to an AI the the AI still pretended to be a person despite the question.
So, for me at least this was a definite way for the AI not to admit it wasn't a person. Because a person doesn't keep making the same mistakes over and over and over again. However, in the end (after repeating everything about 10 times we actually had a hotel reservation when we got there.
So, if you are making a hotel reservation talking to someone it's likely 50 50 whether it is a human now and not an AI pretending to be a human being.
