The most interesting fact for me regarding the last 3 articles:

Is that Myasthenia Gravis hits people at a younger age in the middle east than the average age it hits people in the U.S.

For men in the U.S., it usually hits around 50 or 60 years old (my son got it at age 49 from a case of Covid).

For women in the U.S. it usually hits around age 30 when it hits.

But, according to the Data it hits earlier in Middle Eastern people because of their genetics for some reason. A nurse staying with us explained to me why but let me see if I understand it enough to write about it.

Here is a quote so it might be easier to do that way:

  • Age of Onset: Research in Arab populations indicates that the disease often presents earlier in life (early-onset) compared to Western cohorts, with a high proportion of patients diagnosed under the age of 50.
  • Clinical Presentation: Similar to global trends, myasthenia gravis in the Middle East is more frequently diagnosed in females, and many patients initially present with ocular symptoms (eye drooping or double vision).
