Now that China has devalued the yuan, could it next weaponize and sell its $1.1 trillion in U.S. Treasury holdings -- the so-called “nuclear option” -- to inflict even more damage on the already dented U.S. economy
end partial quote from:
The answer to this question is "YES"
The best way to put this would be: "People who live in Glass Houses shouldn't throw stones!"
Trump lives in the Glass House called America and throws stones (The Trade War) at China. Our economy is the Glass House I'm talking about. If the Chinese weaponize 1.1 Trillion dollars in Treasuries it likely could get AT LEAST as bad as the Great Recession once again any time they did this. However, there likely could be negative repercussions from the U.S. and Europe towards China (maybe real warfare and not just a Trade war).
For this reason I'm thinking that the Chinese would wait to do this to see if Trump is re-elected. If he is re-elected then they would sell the Treasuries to devastate our economy. Politically this would be very very popular in China because Trump is being blamed for all their problems now in their news. So, even if there was warfare from Europe and the U.S. in retaliation in China the Chinese people would be ready for a real war against America and Europe (all 1.4 Billion of them).
If this happened the way I describe the likelihood of planet Earth being reduced to dust is pretty high.
To the best of my ability I write about my experience of the Universe Past, Present and Future
