The water to water the farm would be from evaporation distillation from the ocean using black plastic 4 to 8 ml greenhouse plastic. But, you would likely need a city block long piece of joined pieces of black plastic to accomplish this. You could have the sea water pumped into a permanent container that would continue along the ocean for about one block. The pumping mechanism could be solar powered through a small clear plastic tube from the ocean. So, the pumping mechanism would continue as long as the sun was out. The sun would do most of the work in evaporating the water up to angled plastic and then the condensation would slide drip down along the black plastic down upon a different container of some sort than the salted water was in. Then this desalinated water could be hauled either by hand or pumped using solar energy to water the plants you are growing for food which could be above ground or below ground depending upon the needs of the area you live in on earth. And periodically you would need to scoop out the remaining salt and minerals left from desalination and in some places the salt might be salable too to locals who need salt for one reason or another.
