The Austrian Pilot: This might be a series of links on this subject

I was visiting a Catholic Church in Austria up in the Alps with my son in laws parents and there were about 25 or 30 pictures of boys lost in World War II. My wife and I felt touched by this because it is from a different perspective than we have in the U.S. as we both grew up in the 1950s and 1960s. I realized I needed to write of my experience which is different while I am here. I'm on like Austrian Catholic planet that goes back to at least 900 AD which is very different than the American Experience. Many Protestants were killed by the Catholics from about 1500 on so Austria even today is majority Catholic likely like Italy is too.

  • The Austrain Pilot and the Messerschmitt part 1:
  • New: He was born around 1920 just after World War I while Austria and Germany were punished for what Kaiser Wilhelm did to Europe from 1914 to 1918. So, many people in Austria and Germany were starving because of this. Our President Woodrow Wilson tried to prevent the punishment of Austria and Germany by the rest of Europe because he saw it could lead to the next war (World WARII) which it did unfortunately through Hitler who took advantage of all the Anger that Austrians and Germans had for how they were treated after World War I.

But, Woodrow Wilson our president from 1913 until  1921 tried to fix this problem but died before he could be successful at this. He was also the Architect of the League of Nations which was the forerunner to the United Nations. He also won the Nobel Peace prize for helping create the League of Nations.

President Woodrow Wilson of the United States won the Peace Prize for 1919 as the leading architect behind the League of Nations. It was to ensure world peace after the slaughter of millions of people in the First World War. After the outbreak of war in 1914, it was Wilson's policy to keep the United States out.

Who actually started World War I was Kaiser Wilhelm II who was Emperor of the German Empire until he abdicated in 1918. He lived until 1941.
