The Doorway to the Future

 When I came to Europe I was looking for a doorway to the future. I looked at what was happening in the U.S. and I was worried. So, I went to Europe thinking I might find this "Doorway to the future" here. However, in the Alps where I went I saw completely different problems than we have in the U.S. and realized that the answer I was seeking wasn't necessarily here either. I'm not sure anyone really on earth is addressing the real problem of actually "Having a Future for the human race at all here on earth."

People whether here in Europe or in the United States are often in their own little worlds which is a lot like hamsters in a wheel in a cage. Often this cage is small and the hamster wheel is even smaller and then people wonder why they are having problems when the basic problems of being a human being are not being addressed.

Am I a savior of the Human race? I think each of us is the savior of the human race potentially.

And how do we save the Human race from extinction?

By asking the right questions of ourselves and others.

However, most people are not asking the right questions. This is obvious to me now.

What is the right question? or Questions?

The first question I would ask is: "How do we not go extinct as a human race here on earth?"

Unless you ask this question first all other questions lead to extinction of not only yourself but of all others.

It's very easy to get lost in our little worlds but that won't save us from extinction.

As a young man (even as a child) I faced my own extinction many times. First, it was whooping cough (Because my parents were anti-Vaxers and didn't believe in any vaccinations). Were they right? Yes and NO. The Human race had survived a million years or so without any vaccinations. Was this good?

The question really wasn't whether this was good or bad, the question was what was happening?

The same is true of the human race today.

People think it's a choice between Democracy and Authoritarianism. But, that isn't really the choice.

The choice is Death or Life. That is the real choice for mankind.

Just like if there are too many deer in a park (National or otherwise) Mountain lions (at least in the U.S. come in an eat all the deer that they can find. Are the deer bad? No!

However, every park can only support so many deer before the whole ecology falters and then the deer and everything else starts dying. So, the mountain lions thin out the deer so that the amount of deer are in balance so the park (whatever the size of the park) can continue to exist in some sort of ecological balance.

Now, we have the same problem on earth with people.

How do we the human race solve this problem?

Here's the thing.

How we all choose to solve this problem is going to choose whether the human race survives this century or not.

So, just like with nuclear weapons when I was told as a child I would die as a soldier in a nuclear war this wasn't true. THANK GOD!

So, we need to start asking more useful questions so we all don't just die from human overpopulation.

What is one solution?

The most logical solution I have come up with is people starting to move underground again and keep the surface of the earth only for recreation and farming. This could solve our problems enough this century for us to continue to survive and not go extinct. Why?

Because in order to survive we first need to feed ourselves and we cannot do this without using the surface of the earth for growing food instead of building cities and houses everywhere.

It's like this in California where people are building homes now where the best soils to grow food are.

This is insane.

IF you have good farmland don't build houses where that perfect soil is for growing food. And California has 4 growing seasons too because of the type of weather we have.

So, why would you build houses on the perfect soil for growing food when people are starving all over the world?

Making food affordable now will prevent food wars by starving people all over the world.

Understanding this could prevent another French Revolution where the people just rise up and kill all the rich people on earth because they are starving.

Something to think about.

A Doorway to the future is not useful unless it is a doorway to the future for everyone. Otherwise it will only be another bloodbath like we have seen all the way down through history already.
