Here are some Tibetan Words I found in my "Journal through Asia" from 1985 and 1986 while I was in India and Nepal and staying at Tibetan Buddhist Monasteries like in Rewalsar, India

Tibetan Buddhist words I was studying when I started to learn a little Tibetan: 

Gonpo- a Tibetan Buddhist Monastery

Gonpa- the head of a Tibetan Buddhist Monastery

Kakhapa-child (which also has something to do with the beginning of the Tibetan Alphabet

Kata-in mystic  language a term for Mother

Kataki- (generic) for Mountain

Kapala-skull or forehead

Kapha-a tree

Gsugpa-mystical  trantric practices

Kamata- the Lotus

Kamala-the water lilly the lotus (has various mystical and other meanings)

ka-rtsam-edible wild oats
