Mt. Shasta

Traveling north this time was good for me about a week ago now. It got me back to old friends since 1969 or thereabouts. Since my best buddies from before this time are all dead now except for my cousin and died in 2006 and 2011 already it is good to visit my friend that we began climbing mountains together starting with Half Dome up the wires (without pitons and ropes) then from the vernal Falls and California Nevada Falls route then in 1969.

We have skied and hiked to places like Squaw Valley and Climbed Mount Shasta to the top together also in August of 1970 as well and we both bought around 2 1/2 acres and I helped him build his house in Mt. Shasta starting in 1976 when he got his master's degree from UCLA and then in 1980 I bought 2 1/2 acres Myself he and my father and other friends helped me build my A-Frame from which we home schooled my older children children from 1980 to 1985 in the wilderness of Mt. Shasta with a stream going through my land then and an amazingly beautiful view of Mt. Shasta there at 4000 feet on the mountain then until 1985. So, now my biological Children range in age from 51 to 29 at this point in time.

So, Mt. Shasta and everyone that lives on my friend's 2.8 acres now I know and it's a good time to be alive there for me and my friends. However, the temperatures (at least for now during the day) are about 20 to 30 degrees above normal which is very strange for both Mt. Shasta City and Redding and throughout the whole area.
