The Storms are all gone now from at least San Francisco South throughout the State along the coast

However, it looks like another Storm is up by Eureka right now and may come inland into Mt. Shasta? Not sure at this point.

However, it got to be 54 degrees at the beach today without all the wind so that was pleasant so I didn't have to dress up like it was the Arctic with a heavy winter Jacket I bought in Austria (However, I brought it anyway because I wasn't sure what kind of day at the beach it would be. We drove inland to a mountain top park with pine trees mostly but talked to some other people with Dogs and said they had picked about 16 ticks off their dogs and so we realized we didn't want to walk our dog out into the forest.

However, about 40 years ago now I drove south on Highway 1 toward Big Sur and went for a hike with my family then and noticed blood dripping off my then 5 year old son's right ear. upon Close inspection not only did he have a tick on his ear but several had crawled underneath his clothes as well. Then we all realized that we all had ticks and I think we all picked about 20 ticks total off our bodies that day which is kind of grotesque thing to deal with. Luckily, none of us got Lyme disease from the ticks that day.

Anyway, for now we aren't worrying about more trees coming down even though there was one tree up on the mountain top park that we saw was ripping out of the ground in preparation for falling likely at some time this winter or spring in a rain and wind storm there.

Beautiful day at the coast along the beaches here and the sea wasn't quite as stormy has it has been the last few days. And the power outages we experienced were mostly at night so by morning they stopped which was good too as the heating system and refrigerator starting working again automatically. by around 6:30 AM yesterday i think it was.
