By Gyaltrul Rinpoche in 1980 in the winter there I didn't have an experience where I turned into a Golden Dragon bigger than a house until 1983 and this was before I went to Idaho with my family and asked Gyaltrul Rinpoche if I could study with him. He telepathically contacted me and told me I wasn't going to study with him in this lifetime. However, he was sending a teacher to me and i should look for him which he did.
I picked him up Hitch hiking a ride in Mt. Shasta as I was shown to do (mostly at this time I didn't pick up hitch hikers that I didn't know since I got married the first time and started having children just because of basic safety issues.
However, from 1966 when I bought my first car I often picked up hitch hikers until 1973 when I got together with my first wife because I realized it wasn't safe to do this anymore with a family.
However, this was 1983 and I had just done my vision quest of becoming a Golden Dragon bigger than a house which made me realize that there is a Tibetan Lineage called the Dragon Kagyu lineage of Tibetan Buddhism which I might be connected to.
Though Gyaltrul was Nyingma lineage (the oldest and started by Padmasambhava himself) I Think Gyaltrul was likely Remay which means he had been initiated by all the lineages including Gelukpa which is the Dalai Lama's lineage.
So, I picked up this hitch hiker called Ken Ellis who told me he had been initiated by many Tibetan Lamas in the U.S. and Nepal and India already.
This was a burly wild and wooley guy from Canada and he had a degree in Chemical Engineering from Canada. So, he was a very interesting fellow the kind people often make documentaries or movies about who was a larger than life person in many different ways. Though I was intrigued by him I did as he asked and put him at a good place to camp near Pilgrim Creek on the McCloud side of Mt. Shasta which is close to where my family and I lived then on our 2 1/2 acres in our A-Frame house so it could shed 7 or more feet of snow which often fell in the winters there (12 feet until June within the last 2 years out there by the way where a friend lived until he died about a year ago now from old age).
So, anyway, Ken Ellis was a real character a real trip like the kind of guy you only usually see in movies and even then you might not believe a guy like this actually exists here on earth.
Anyway, he wanted to invoke the spirits of Mt. Shasta from his tent alongside of Pilgrim Creek or sometimes Mud Creek. So, I left him there worrying a little about his tent collapsing in the snow storm coming but he wouldn't listen to me about the storm being who he was.
So, after 2 feet of snow fell that night I worried about him so remote and all alone there by the side of a river. So, I got into my 1974 IH Scout II 4 wheel drive and drove through the unplowed snow to where he was (this vehicle was the most amazing off road vehicle I ever owned. However, the clutch blew out my wife's knee then in a traffic jam having to shift it because it was so stiff eventually so I eventually gave it to my eldest stepson when he turned I thing 17 or 18 and he eventually sold to to people who wanted to drive it into Baja California in Mexico.
Anyway I went back to find Ken Ellis with his whole camping Tent collapsed by the snow. I saw he wouldn't survive well there anymore so I asked him to come visit my acreage where a friend had left a bus with a Vw Bus cut into the top of the bus so you could walk around inside more easily. Also, it had a wood stove to keep warm during the snow storm.
More later.
