According to Trump's people and Trump himself ICE will be used at voting polls to prevent non- Republican voting electorate to vote (especially anyone but white Republican Men). This is already in the works including Federalizing elections which is against the Constitution!
Hitler used his Brownshirts in the same way. If you notice even the garb of ICE is similar to the Brownshirts of Hitler in that they all wear brown. Trump is destroying our democracy right out of "Mein Kampf".

Comparisons between U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and the Nazi-era
Sturmabteilung
(SA), or "Brownshirts," have been made by critics, politicians, and
commentators, particularly regarding tactics used during immigration
enforcement operations under the Trump administration.Arguments supporting and criticizing this comparison include:
Arguments Making the Comparison:
- Tactics and Unidentified Agents: Critics argue that ICE agents have adopted tactics reminiscent of paramilitary groups, such as operating in plain clothes or tactical gear without clear identification, using masks, and conducting raids without warrants.
- Intimidation and Targets: Some, including former Labor Secretary Robert Reich, have argued that these operations are designed to create fear and intimidate communities, similar to how the Brownshirts operated in 1930s Germany to enforce political conformity.
- Mass Detention: The increase in detention numbers and the rhetoric surrounding "internal enemies" have been cited as parallels to the Nazi playbook of scapegoating specific groups.
Arguments Opposing or Critiquing the Comparison:
- Lack of Direct Equivalence: Critics of the comparison argue it is hyperbolic, dangerous, and minimizes the historical context of the Holocaust. They argue that comparing law enforcement agencies in a democracy to the Nazi regime is inaccurate.
- Legal Framework: Supporters of ICE operations argue that they are acting under federal law, targeting individuals who have violated immigration laws, whereas the Brownshirts were a political organization designed to commit violence and overthrow democratic norms.
- Different Nature of Organizations: Observers have noted that the Brownshirts wore a distinct uniform and were a recognized political paramilitary force, while ICE is a government agency, making the comparison inaccurate.
The
comparison is a subject of intense political debate, often reflecting
broader disagreements over immigration policy, the limits of executive
power, and the use of historical analogies in modern American politics.
