Understanding yourself and the world around you

What is important right now in life?

It easy to get lost in problems on earth because of Trump. However, it might be that all these problems are caused by everything happening on earth for centuries already as they all go through cycles.

Like for example, there was a more libertine cycle that hit during the 1960s and 1970s while I was growing up. That cycle lasted likely at least until Nixon Resigned as president. Then it became something else entirely. I can remember the two Arab Oil Embargoes which changed how Americans lived. These two oil embargoes and the gas and diesel prices began the downward trend economically for middle class and poorer Americans because as the gas prices quadrupled during the 1970s it made literally everything, food, gas, building materials, homes etc. Cost much much more. So, the wealth of America where a White young male in the 1950s and 1960s at age 17 could without a college or high school diploma make enough money to own a home and several cars and support about 5 people went away directly because of the price of Gas doubling and tripling regularly. And this "Inflation" has never stopped ever since making Americans poorer and poorer and poorer if they weren't rich already.

The life I had as a teenager doesn't exist anymore at all really where I could easily buy a car at 16 just from part time jobs and drive 400 miles a weekend from Glendale in Los Angeles to the beach to surf, to the mountains to ski, to the desert to ride my motorcycles at my parents 2 1/2 acres they bought to retire on in 1980. However, they bought it in 1968 and starting building their retirement home on weekends and I often helped my father do this and then also went riding on my off road motorcycle or motorcycles there too all over the high deserts of Yucca Mesa above Yucca Valley California.

The libertine cycle I would call it has now been replaced with the Rich Guy molesting young women Cycle that Trump and Musk are a part of now which reminds me more of the Hitler times more than anything else in history.

So, you now have a repressive era for middle class and below worldwide that rivals the Great Depression and World war II when millions died from starvation and wars and insanity caused by the problems then once again.

Will the human race survive these times?

Maybe.

We have to see what it all brings into the future.

However, Global Climate change is having the same effect as the Arab Oil embargo making living too expensive for the average person on earth so they are now starving to death and migrating like crazy trying to stay alive worldwide now.

So, in some ways the horror for Americans of the Arab Oil Embargo is matched by the Horror of Global Climate changes during which rich people are allowing poorer people to die now worldwide!

So, it seems that if you are not rich enough you tend to die pretty young now worldwide or you never grow up at all because you die from impure water or impure foods which shortens people's lives a lot.

Here in the U.S. we live in Disneyland compared to the rest of the world. Never did his hit home to me more viscerally than in 1985 an 1986 when I went to India and Nepal when I saw how bad it really is in the 3rd world nations where people were not even educated into the 1st grade then (about 60% to 70% of the people of India then had not been to 1st grade yet which means all people have is magical thinking of various kinds in order to survive whatever they face in life.

So, seeing dead bodies unattended in the streets and in the country in India then was my experience. As an American this was unthinkable (and yet it was happening every day in India where I was traveling then for 2 months time and then 2 months also in Nepal. However, Nepal then was a little more forgiving because there were less people there because Nepal is mostly up int he mountains where you can easily die from the cold whereas India is more tropical and more like some place like Florida or California most of the time or Hawaii climate wise (at least then) not sure what it is now.

So, if you can understand yourself and the world enough to survive to be 30 it's a really big deal now anywhere including America.

Just surviving AT ALL anywhere on earth is much more difficult than in the 1980s or 1990s too.

So, unless you are educated and healthy enough wherever you are you might not survive to even see tomorrow now anywhere on earth!

This is a big factor that Americans may or may not understand at present unless they have seen what I have seen traveling the world.

If you understand the world then you understand yourself and your own culture better. It's not a nice experience to see how bad things can be other places. (And yet, some people survive all over the earth and maybe learning how they survive bad governments might help you to survive this bad government we have now in the U.S.?
