As a juror I won't convict someone unless I personally witnessed the crime

For this reason I'm not chosen as a juror ever. But, this is a part of my Ahimsa Vows. Why?

Because a minimum of 1 out of 4 or more people in jail and prison in the U.S. and likely even more than this in other countries are completely innocent of the crimes they are accused of.

So, for me, having taken Ahimsa Vows I cannot judge anyone unless I personally witnessed the crime. Why?

Because often you cannot believe witnesses because it is easily possible either they know the person who actually did it or they are the person who actually did it themselves. You don't know.

So, I refuse to send an innocent person to jail or be executed no matter what.

I refuse to harm another being wrongfully like that.

However, for me, this is how seriously I take my Ahimsa Vows of Harmlessness to all beings.

By God's Grace
