I drove as far as Williams today

From SF Bay area. Now we are safe in Mt. Shasta. My wife drove the rest of the way. We were able to get there before sundown around 8 pm. However, if you are driving north on Interstate 5 this weekend anytime you need to be aware that they are working on the road around Cottonwood on I-5. This took another hour in bumper to bumper traffic while they closed off one lane (I believe the right lane). So, this wasn't fun. But, what was fun was convincing my wife to drive through bumper to bumper traffic for one hour allowing the car to drive itself. It was at slow enough speed to where she wasn't scared to do this and the car automatically steers itself and brakes itself so they only thing you have to do in bumper to bumper traffic is if the car comes to a complete stop more than about 15 or 20 seconds the automatic driving shuts off automatically. Then when the traffic starts to move even at 1 mile an hour all you have to do is to touch one switch and then it will drive itself in traffic as long as it's moving at all even one mile an hour or less.

So, that was fun teaching her how to do this because her right foot started cramping in traffic and with automatic driving you don't have to touch the pedals at all.

So, so far no fires this far north even though I heard about one somewhere near Fresno further south so the air is fresh and clean with mountain air oxygenated by all the Pine and fir and other trees this far north at 3500 feet which is the basic elevation of the little City of Mt. Shasta.
