This was a nice thing after all the rain. A few hours before we had Tule Fog which I had never seen in Mt. Shasta before when I lived here full time. My friend said it doesn't come up as far as his property altitude wise but he saw it this morning. From where we are staying in town the fog was so thick that you couldn't see the mountain at all. Yesterday we couldn't see the mountain at all but that's because it was raining in town and snowing on the mountain.
Drove to Redding for last appointment with Robotics hernia surgeon since operation in late March. He said everything looked great and I could pretty much return to normal as everything has healed up well. Today I drove up to Bunny Flat with a friend of mine and we met people from Maryland on a 10 week tour of all the National Parks in the western United States which sounded like a really fun idea for retired people who have enough money and who have their health.
In 2022 my wife and I and my friend and his girlfriend took a 5 week trip. We first went to Lake Tahoe from the SF Bay area and then drove through Nevada and a part of Idaho through Twin Falls on the way to Teton national Park where we met our friends in their car and then Yellowstone national Park and then Glacier National Park and then up towards Calgary (which I had never seen before this trip) and finally over to Banff and Lake Louise. Lake Louise is a turquoise colored lake caused by Glaciers grinding up the local rock surfaces over thousands to millions of years. Then my friends went to play some concerts in Washington and other places while we headed towards Seattle and then Portland and home after going over to Bainbridge Island on a Ferry from Seattle with our car.
