From a karmic point of view this might be happening through the idiocy of Trump.
Trump is bankrupting the U.S. right now through the Iran War and Netanyahu's insanity. Not only is Trump bankrupting the U.S. like the U.S. did through Stinger missiles given to Osama bin Laden who then was a CIA double agent in Afghanistan. When he got the STinger missiles his Mujahadeen soldiers blew up literally every fighter jet and tank and military helicopter and every soldier they found that was Russian. The human toll and the Financial military loss collapsed the Soviet Union.
Putin is doing the same thing to Trump now by sending missiles and drones to Iran to blow up everything in the middle east outside of Iran especially oil depots and oil drilling equipment and capped oil wells everywhere. This raises the oil prices worldwide and helps him destroy Ukraine.
Also, if the EU and NATO get involved in the Iran war missiles and drones will be headed for Italy, France, Spain and Greece blowing up Athens, Rome and Cities close enough to hit with missiles and drones from Iran and Lebanon and Lebanese and Iranian and Houthi ships at sea.
PUtin is now bankrupting the U.S. military like we did to the Soviet Union with Stinger missiles given to Osama bin Laden and the Mujahadeen in Afghanistan.
Putin is now doing the same thing to Trump through the Iran war.
Here's more on the Soviet- Afghanistan War 1979 to 1989 which resulted in the Collapse of the Soviet Union.

The Soviet-Afghan War was a grueling, decade-long conflict from December 1979 to February 1989.
The Soviet Union invaded Afghanistan to prop up a struggling communist
ally but became bogged down fighting the Mujahideen, a decentralized
coalition of Islamic guerrilla fighters heavily backed by the U.S. and
Pakistan.
Key Aspects of the Conflict
- Timeline:
The invasion began on December 24, 1979, with a massive Soviet airlift
into Kabul. Following a costly stalemate, the last Soviet troops
withdrew on February 15, 1989.
- The Mujahideen & Foreign Support:
The local resistance fighters (Mujahideen) used guerrilla tactics to
counter Soviet heavy armor and air superiority. They received critical
logistical, financial, and tactical backing from the U.S. (Operation
Cyclone), Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, and other nations
.
- The Stinger Missile:
A crucial turning point in the mid-1980s was the U.S. provision of
portable, heat-seeking Stinger missiles, which neutralized the Soviets'
devastating air power advantage.
- Human Cost:
The war resulted in catastrophic devastation. Over 1 million Afghan
civilians were killed, and an estimated 15,000 Soviet soldiers died.
Millions of Afghans were displaced into neighboring Pakistan and Iran,
creating a severe refugee crisis.
- Geopolitical Consequences:
The economic drain, military failures, and loss of international
prestige significantly contributed to the collapse of the Soviet Union
in 1991. For Afghanistan, the Soviet withdrawal led to a devastating
civil war, paving the way for the rise of the Taliban in the mid-1990s.
