I was listening to someone who runs an apartment Complex here in the Portland area talking about just how the drought is affecting the Portland Area. He was saying that his normal stream by his house is about hip deep and in a low rain year it is usually knee deep but now the water only comes up to his ankles which is very distressing for locals. At least 17 counties of over 30 counties in Oregon are in severe drought and 95% of the land in Colorado is in severe drought and the Colorado River which gives water to many states between Colorado and California and Arizona is the driest anyone has ever seen it in my lifetime of 78 years so far.
However, today in Portland, Oregon area the high is about 70 degrees which it is already at about noon today. and it's supposed to rain some too the next few days too which is helping everyone and cooling things off a lot.
At least the Temperatures aren't in the 90s anymore like they were for several days in a row. Here is the weather for the next week in a Suburb of Portland Called Beaverton, Oregon.
