writing

I began writing more when I began to write about Arcane. At the time I never intended to publish what I wrote about Arcane. Instead it was a model I created to heal myself of childhood traumas designed especially for me from my training to be a psychologist (even though I never finished the training because my girlfriend got pregnant and I had to go to work to support us.

So, now it's 1980 when I wrote about Arcane first in mt. shasta. So, even though I had moved the first time to Mt. Shasta before my first wife and I moved to Hilo, Hawaii where she had lived for three years before I met her. So, after moving to Mt. Shasta I got heat stroke planting trees in shasta so we moved back to San Marcos and realized we wanted to move to Hawaii where she had once lived with our new baby son.

This would have also been August of 1974. However, there I cut my toe on a piece of glad in my yard at the house we were renting and I couldn't walk because of the 13 to 15 stitches in my foot because every time I stood up I was leaking blood from this injury. So, this meant I couldn't work either so eventually we moved back to the mainland where I became a working partner in my father's and uncles and cousins Gold mining company. My uncle was a gold trader and when the price of Gold went from 32 dollars and ounce (since the great depression) to well over 300 dollars an ounce he needed a tax shelter so he started this gold mining business with my cousin, my father and a friend of mine who had just graduated Cal Poly in San Luis Obispo with an Architectural degree in City planning.

So, by 1980 my first wife and I had divorced and I was a single father of my son starting at age 3 which was okay by me even though it changed my life a lot to be a single Dad I found that being a Dad was my favorite thing really in life mostly because it kept me alive and not taking so many physical risks like Rock climbing with pitons and ropes. In fact, one of my friends died at Castle Crags free climbing then in the late 1970s and I realized how grateful my son had been born and that I was a single Dad so I wasn't dead too.

So, by 1980 I started to write about Arcane in Mt. Shasta. Here is the first chapter of what I wrote then in 1980:
