Seeing oneself as the Universe

I realized we had two paintings in our guest room that each depicted a girl realizing the universe was inside her.

I thought that this might be an appropriate form of meditation for some people so I thought I would share these images in one image.

It reminds me of a song from the 60s

"We are stardust we are golden and we have to get ourselves back to the garden".

If you understand what earth actually is, it is the dust from many many collapsed stars that then at some point might form into new stars and new series of elements over billions of years. The galaxies themselves are temporal too.

So, literally we are stardust. the food we eat is made of stardust. The ground we walk upon is stardust. We are stardust. We are the galaxies right in our bodies.

So, experiencing yourself as a galaxy or the whole universe itself is true just as if you were a drop in the ocean you would also be the ocean, which is also true because the blood in our bodies comes from evaporated drops in the oceans that turn into clouds which rain down upon the land into rivers and lakes and streams which we drink and that becomes our blood which has the same salinity as the ocean.

In this sense all life on earth is an ocean creature because of the salinity in our bodies matching the salinity and water of the ocean.

So, literally we are the universe, we are the galaxy, we are the ocean. There is no being separate from the allness of everything.

So therefore an appropriate meditation or contemplation is as being the universe which brings great peace and tends to end suffering of all kinds, which then leads to kindness as you realize everything in the universe is actually you, or a part of your family or however you want to see it.
