A 3.4% death rate from Coronavirus actually makes sense worldwide

Why?

Because not all countries are as well equipped to deal with this as the U.S., Canada and Europe, so in less developed countries (medically speaking) this is going to raise the worldwide rate to some average number which in this case likely is 3.4% worldwide which makes sense when you put in 2nd and 3rd world countries not capable of dealing with this.

In some countries the death rate (In that country) might be at a 10% rate or higher of those that get coronavirus, especially if they are older than 50 or 60.

But, in first world countries I would guess the average to be closer to 2.3 to 2.4% because that is what it is reported as being in Hong Kong.

A friend told me the other day that he heard from medical professionals that it kills 15% of those in their 70s and 80% of those in their 80s worldwide which is why it is considered to be "The Angel of Death" for Convalescent homes around the world.

I was thinking today that Convalescent homes worldwide might be put out of business completely if all their patients die from this. So, I think you are going to see some really strange things around this issue come up.

Partly because all the orderlies and nurses who work at these places could be potential carriers. So, even if you eliminate all the visitors or make all the visitors wear rubber gloves and masks the orderlies and nurses (all you need is one of them as a carrier and not even sick) to infect the whole convalescent home wherever it is on earth.

And there is NO WAY to presently know who is a carrier and who is not unless they are showing signs of the sickness (like fever etc.). So, it is likely that no matter what they do in eliminating visitors it isn't going to help much for convalescent homes worldwide.
