Religion is the Opiate of the People

IT has always been this way down through history. I went to a  Church recently to hear my cousin's grandson play the guitar and sing in Orange County California. And I had to confront the "Opiate of the People" thing once again.

I found myself sitting there thinking about if the kids (8th graders from the private school) there were going to have the same problems I had had with my childhood church. I really felt sorry for them in some ways if they would face what I did of being suicidal for several years if they separated from their childhood church.

The Pastor said something interesting too which was that only 10% of the Millennials in California keep going to ANY church after age 18. To me, after my experiences this was not surprising. Why?

Because groups like the ISIS Terrorists have turned millennials against all religions not just against Islam but also Christianity and other religions as well because they see all religions as creating the end of life on earth through nukes. Are they right?

Possibly. What makes it even worse is people who are Apocalyptic. To me, Being Apocalyptic is tantamount to being suicidal in groups. So, wanting the end of all life on earth to come is really SELFISH in an extreme way!

What I mean by this is that "Why kill everyone on earth just because you personally or your group is suicidal?"

So, if you are religious and Apocalyptic then you are suicidal as a group which is an unhealthy place to be psychologically.

I mean if you are suicidal then kill yourself don't kill the whole world too!

Better said if you are suicidal get some help and stay alive and think differently.

Life on Earth Deserves to live not get nuked permanently out of existence.

By God's Grace
