headed south to SF Bay Today

Driving south on Interstate 5 from Mt. Shasta the temperatures increased until the highest temperature was about 97 degrees Fahrenheit. However, I was cold this morning setting out early because it was only 46 as I loaded up my truck early to leave. So, Even when it is 88 to 90 in Mt. Shasta lately it is going down to I believe 42 degrees at night by next Friday. I looked up this morning and the sun was red and there was no blue sky because the smoke was mostly between 6000 feet and above recently.

As I got down to Redding and beyond, rivers of smoke that looked like Fog more than smoke often cross the Freeway South on Interstate 5. Some times it was very difficult to tell whether I was witnessing a river of smoke or whether I was watching fog as I got closer to the ocean in the SF Bay area. So, things are still pretty strange even now all over California from the fires.

Mostly the Glass fire threatening Santa Rosa and the Zogg fire are mostly out so that is a good thing. But there are many other fire still burning.

So, as I reached the fog coming off the ocean I opened my window on my truck and realized that there was a little bit of smoke even in the Fog even though the fog sort of would bring the smoke particles to earth somewhat sort of like Rain can too.

However, it is supposed to rain in Mt. Shasta I believe on Friday or Saturday so I hope that actually happens.
