Something happened then that I don't want to repeat. When Trump won I was sick for 4 months and didn't get well until around February 2017. The reason was I saw the damage Trump would do to the whole world and the average person on earth so this made me literally ill. What brought me out of this was my daughter showed me a product called "Clear Lung" which is a capsule containing Chinese herbs that you can get in most health food stores and Whole Food stores. What is does it prevent post nasal drip. So, for the next couple of years whenever my nose started running I would take one or more of these and basically never got sick again with a bad chest cold or even flu. But, I do get a flu shot every year because I'm over 65 because my wife insists on this so there is less chance I will get a flu which takes out a lot of people over 65. I can remember when my cousin's husband died at about 60 from pneumonia and this made me feel very vulnerable at the time because I was at least in my 50s then too. So, you have to find ways to stay alive if you want to make it in life over 50 years of age. Because it doesn't happen by accident.
I often tell people that I would have died by age 50 if it weren't for my present wife which is true. Because I didn't even have health insurance until we married in 1995 when I was 47. So, what that means is that if I didn't have health insurance I wouldn't have survived a heart virus I survived between Fall 1998 and May of 1999. So, when you are over 40 you need health insurance for catastrophic health events which can occur at literally any time. My wife insisting I get good health insurance at 47 when we married has saved my life several times now since 1995 and keeps on doing that.
So, if you want to live to 100 or more you need health insurance until you can get Medicare at 65. Unfortunately I was paying 1800 a month for health insurance at 64 to be fully covered at that point.
So, the real chore I believe is paying for health insurance between 50 and 64 without dying in the process.
And all of us face this problem as we move from our 40s up to 65 here in the U.S.
And also medicare isn't free either you have to pay for Medicare based upon your yearly income. So, you can have to pay 700 to 1000 a month for medicare if your income is higher than average. But, at least you likely won't ever be paying 1800 dollars a month for full medical care like I was at 64 years of age either.
My neighbor who is a retired eye surgeon said to me one day: "Isn't Medicare amazing!"
Yes. I agree that Medicare is amazing. But, if you vote for Trump it won't be there anymore unfortunately because he is getting rid of Social Security and Medicare as well as Obamacare.
