Lake Charles has been hit "how many times now this season" (3 or 4) and the wreckage of the last 3 or 4 hurricanes still litters the streets of all towns near this area. As the winds get up over 100 miles per hour it is death to be outside anywhere with tin roof pieces and signs and 2 by 4s and anything else you can imagine flying through the air to new locations. So, some people just have had enough and are seriously considering moving away because of this new Global Climate change phenomenon that hits this area again, again and again.
However, this doesn't mean that another area besides this one isn't going to be hit multiple times even worse next hurricane season. But, if these people choose the wrong new area they could be hit again, again and again some other year too if they choose to live anywhere on the Gulf Coast at this point because the future is now so uncertain whether it is fires on the west coast or hurricanes on the Gulf coasts and many other factors worldwide as well.
