winds of 30 to 40 miles per hour in Redding today: 1 1/2 million people's power has been shut down in N. California

1 1/2 million people had their power shut off today all over northern California wherever P, G & E power lines are near bushes or trees or wild grasses without many people there to observe them. My friend was in Redding and said the winds were pretty scary there from the wind storm but okay once he returned to Mt. Shasta where all the mountains had stopped the winds down to 2 to 3 miles per hour. The storm is supposed to also drop snow on Colorado and hopefully put out the fires and firestorms eventually everyone is hoping also.
