Ever wonder why well educated well funded older people don't get dementia that much?

A big part of it is diet and exercise and the exercise of your mind as well. For example, mostly we try to eat organic non-GMO food whenever we can. My father was like this too from before I was born and was a health oriented Lacto Ovo Vegetarian from when he graduated High School as a valedictorian of his High School. He studied about the effects of injecting steers with various things in the 1930s and realized he didn't want that stuff in his body and switched to being a Lacto Ovo Vegetarian while studying with Paul Bragg like Jack LaLanne also did. So, that was 1934 and I came along in 1948 about 14 years later. My mother was also a vegetarian at that time but not originally for health reasons. Instead she was a vegetarian for religious reasons but over time my father convinced her about organic food and how important it was.

The point is "You Are What you Eat".
