Because I already know how security vulnerable an IPhone is. Besides what do I want Smartphone for anyway. I want to text and to make phone calls and not much else.
Also, an IPHone is the most simple, Logical and intuitive smartphone you can buy. For me, this means I don't have to study online manuals to use it (except for learning new methods of searching for things as new models come out. But, then if you get an Iphone 17 you can take a picture of anything anywhere and the AI will tell you what you are looking at which is pretty neat too.
Also, if you want security you can use Signal or if you trust Facebook, What's App.
The Secretary of Defense got in trouble for using Signal but that was in regard to battle plans. So, if you want secure information try and use Signal on your Iphone for end to end Encryption so supposedly no one can understand any phone calls or texts through Signal. Do I 100% believe that ANYTHING IS completely secure. NO! And neither should you.
It's sort of like saying: "I can build a bank safe that no one can steal anything out of." It really cannot be done. Just like with weapons when people say they have the best weapon that isn't true too because the best weapon just hasn't been invented yet.
So, I own an IPhone but I know it is the weakest security link possible but I also use Signal a lot especially for overseas calls and texting and I also use What's App sometimes too because not all of my friends or relatives use Signal. But, remember if you use Signal or What's App even though the call is perfectly free or text is perfectly free you still can only call people who also have whatever you are using wherever they are on earth.
Also, there are places on earth where Signal or What's App don't work too for a variety of reasons so be careful of that too.
